Tried to get through the first episode but it’s just a bunch of random people talking. Maybe I should know who the hosts are but I don’t and they take their sweet time getting to anything pertinent about the story. Don’t waste your time.

I’ve listened to 1.5 episodes and it feels like they’re just talking about themselves and how there produce documentaries and not at all about the story. It’s so a little boring. I recommend sad lipping the first episode, it’s not at all about the subject.

I’m not sure why there are so many 1 stars. I’m Australian and I’m fascinated by these stories. I’m also baffled by the laws over there. My soul aches for those who have passed and are serving time in prison for crimes without proper court hearings. Things are so different here. I’d love to see...Read full review »

Was Charla ever seriously looked at as a suspect, because MY GOSH she sounds suspicious as hell! What kind of a sister treats a brother this way? A very angry, jealous and vindictive one.

Thank you so much for this podcast! I haven’t been able to have access to the tv program (I live in Ireland) apart from the odd one on YouTube. And the behind the scenes aspect is brilliant, it’s so important to get the stories out there. I’m guessing from the work you do and the research you and...Read full review »

Okay, I’m keeping my cool. But, someone just exclaimed that testing all of the hair in the victims hand would cost $1000’s and so that’s the reason they didn’t do it. It is so scary and devastating that innocent people are getting murdered everyday. In this case, a couple sitting on their...Read full review »

Leave it at episode 3. Long start taking about themselves until they got to the point and start talking about the actual crime.

Too much story in the intro. Sorry guys is feels too self indulgent taking about yourselves so much. Just start the story already!!

This show is so different from any “True Crime” show I’ve encountered so far. They’re actually going through every single detail of the case and trying to present all sides, without big dramatic reveals that could potentially harm the people involved. I’ll be listening in as long as this show is...Read full review »

The first episode which introduced us to the “reporters” was hilarious. They spent an inordinate amount of time talking about cinéma vérité (that’s fly on the wall for us plebs.) As someone who loves documentaries, especially fly on the wall I continued listening. I thought, great, a...Read full review »

I love listening and hearing everyone’s perspectives on the case. It provides that extra lens and knowledge. I also appreciate the care and passion you each bring to the talk. Just started watching the shows as well! I highly recommend and am looking forward to hearing and seeing more episodes of...Read full review »

The work this team is doing is really admirable. I’m learning a ton and really loving how in depth the episodes go into these cases. I’m telling all my friends to listen in hopes that we can get as much light on these cases as possible!

Conservatively 50% of this show is the hosts talking about themselves, what they do, how they do it. Unless you saw the tv show, you’d have no idea about the story being covered. Which is fine, but it’s advertised as a “true crime” podcast, not a “how we made a true crime podcast” podcast

Why are four people telling this story? Where is the story of the actual people involved? 3 episodes in and I feel like I wasted time
Lnpttmc via Apple Podcasts · Canada · 12/31/23
Only on episode 3 but the podcasters seem like it’s more important to give kudos to each other rather than delving into the matter. I have never been more annoyed in a podcast so far. Will continue to listen, but so far have had to fast forward over how “great” they each are.

I was so hopeful when I started listening to this podcast. At first, it seemed there were four people who would truly dive into the case — revealing the pros and cons of Brandon Woodruff’s guilt. Unfortunately, it has become clear their mission is to make Brandon look innocent. They barely talk...Read full review »

Bad
A podcast about podcasters talking about themselves and how insightful they are… Very condescending and boring. Using murders as a vehicle to boost their egos — exploitative as well!
GenXMeg via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 12/23/23
Very interesting and people and stories but somehow it’s so boring. Not sure how they managed to do that but okay.

I guess I’m just not a fan of multi host podcasts. There seemed to be more talk amongst them than focusing on the players in the events.
Dalspot via Apple Podcasts · Canada · 12/20/23
If there’s anything I loathe, it’s “journalists” patting themselves on the back for “bravely telling the story”. It’s always the same. If it’s not LA or NY, it’s considered a backward town full of ignorant, racist hicks. Rockwell county, Texas is the richest county in the state and is not this...Read full review »

There may be a hard time getting past the first episode because the podcast hosts talk about their methods a bit too much. However I now see it as setting the stage. This podcast gives a much more nuanced story than I have heard on this case. Hopefully it will lead you to question whether the...Read full review »

I understood the first episode to say how they didn’t want this to be about the hosts if I am not mistaken. I didn’t read the name for the episodes while going through this podcast, otherwise I would have skipped the first episode and half of the second episode that was basically a repeat of the...Read full review »

I found out about you through straight up with Stassi. Love the content but the amount of ads and the length of ads is the most I’ve heard in any podcast, true crime or not. Having ads in the middle of the podcast is also very jarring. Some episodes have ads at the beginning, middle and end...Read full review »

I love love love this true crime podcast. I love how the team breaks everything down and they tell you exactly what they are going over. Very easy to follow. Very engaging, and I love the non-biased approach and sticking to the facts and holes in the investigation.

This is the first true crime podcast I’ve engaged with! So far, very interesting and I appreciate how the team breaks down the story and findings out with great care and respect for the family! Looking forward to the coming weeks episodes!

Two episodes in and most of the show is the 5 or 6 hosts talking about themselves and reminiscing about their experiences in reporting on a case? Whatever case the show is supposedly about is lost, but I do know that one guy likes cows and someone recognized the lead host. Can’t listen to...Read full review »
