Truly fantastic
I'm a 21 year old woman studying at university, I'm 5'6" and at my heaviest (when I was 19) I weighed 12 st 11 lbs. I've struggled with my weight since I was about 7 years old when my appetite suddenly increased. Since then I've always been trying this diet or that diet, new exercises that are "guaranteed" to help me lose weight. Nothing's ever really worked, mostly because I get bored after a few weeks and my motivation drops. Queue NHS Couch to 5K! This podcast has turned my life around. I haven't finished the podcasts yet but I can now run for 25 minutes straight!!! If someone had told me earlier this year that by the end of May I'd be able to run for that long I'd have laughed at them, but the podcast is broken into really manageable chunks and it's helped me stay motivated. I can feel myself getting fitter with each run I complete and it's AMAZING! I didn't follow the week by week plan too strictly - sometimes I felt moving onto the next podcast was going to be too much, but rather than giving up I just repeated that podcast a couple more times. I remember when I tried the Week 1 podcast and at the end I felt like I was going to die. Just look at me now! Living proof that you can get fitter with a little structure and determination. Laura, the 'coach', has a nice voice so she doesn't get annoying. She's always positive and tells you how long you've run for at certain intervals (e.g. if you're on a 10 minute run Laura will tell you when you're half way), which I find super helpful for managing my pace. I now weigh 11 st 5 lbs, and I'm still dropping the pounds. Whilst I've been trying not to binge eat that entire pack of biscuits, I haven't been on a proper 'diet' as such. Really I've just been trying to eat healthily. I would absolutely, positively, 100% recommend this podcast to you! Give it a go. Maybe you'll be writing a success story like mine in a few weeks!Read full review »

This is fantastic. I am semi fit, but running was something I could not do. But I am now running and totally enjoying it. My mornings is not the same without it now. Laura guides you through every step of the podcast and the music is really enjoyable. If you are looking to start running this...Read full review »

I started this podcast after never really running properly. I tried a couple of times to run with friends who were much fitter than me but I could never keep up, and it could be seriously demoralizing. Starting this podcast was brilliant, I'm halfway through week 3 and I can feel myself...Read full review »
