This is a second time I’m using this program and it is really helpful again. I’ve done this before I had my kids and was surprised how well it worked. Week after week I was getting better and better, happier and even more determined to progress. Now, after 5 years, running only around my 2 kids...Read full review »

I’m about to start week 7. Who’d have thought when I started I could just about run for 90 seconds. The last few weeks have got tougher but I’m surprised how much stamina I have than when I started. And I’m actually enjoying my running. Music not bad and the coaching is good. Highly recommend.

Thanks NHS, from 0min runner I just run my first 5k, thank you! Would never manage without this podcast.

I never ran in my life and started the program aged 54 . Brilliant . Laura very encouraging and supportive . I always believed I wasn’t able to run as wasn’t particularly athletic . I decided after Xmas that I’d challenge myself . I heard an excellent review re the benefits of running - so many...Read full review »

I never thought I’d be able to run longer than a few mins. This plan really eases you into running and helps you enjoy it. I am now on week 7 doing 25 min solid runs each day. The key is to keep going, you will be surprised at how much you can run!! Your stamina increases tremendously and whereas...Read full review »

I have just completed w5r3. I never thought that 6 weeks ago that I could run for 5 mins let alone 20 by this point in the plan. If you are thinking of getting into running by using this, and I recommend that you do, follow it to the letter. I have done and with the aid of Weight Watchers blue...Read full review »

I am a fairly unfit pensioner and I have just finished Week 5 of 9. So far, the pace has been just right for me. My coach is Sara Millican and she is involved just enough. I feel confident I will be able to manage 5K by week 9 🙂

A great starting point for a non runner, low active person. I am on week 7, never thinking I could be running for 28 minutes before starting this plan. It really does work! Keep on going and stay motivated. Personally I am finding the last weeks tricky, could do with more vocal direction...Read full review »

Very easy to listen too and Laura is very motivational. Builds up stamina in increments. I never thought I could do this and have just completed it. Would highly recommend. Thank you for the inspiration!

I did this program about two years ago after struggling to move away from run/walk style running for years. By the end, I was running about 10:30 min mile (30 minutes total) and the habit of running I formed during this program more or less stuck. The rate at which you train during this program...Read full review »

This is my first review ever and the only reason I’m writing this one is because this podcast is so good. Week 1 down and I’m actually looking forward to more running. Thank you!

I’ve just started this and thought it may be useful to see what each episode is all about. However you should use the podcast as it gives you when to start/stop each section. Week 1 - 3 times per week 5 minutes brisk walking 1 minute running 1 1/2 minutes walking Repeat for 20 minutes 5...Read full review »

I have never used such a difficult app. I still have not managed to get it on my Apple so I can transfer to my pod. Rubbish.

This is actually achievable!!! I’ve done it and I’m an overweight 38 year old who has never run in my life. It wasn’t easy but it is doable!!! The music could be better but it’s ok. Please bring out a 5k to 10k. Thank you for this series!!! I can’t believe I did it!!!

I’ve gone from not being able to run at all to running for 20 mins. It’s been brilliant having a personal trainer in my ears and the ability to do each session whenever was convenient for me.
Caroline Patrick via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 09/07/19
Thank you Laura. The music is mixed but that is not the important thing, your style was encouraging and successful.

So I’m on week 6...listening to Laura’s voice/instruction is calming when your pounding the roads.Music not so good🤷‍♀️ I agree with others that we need a 5k-10K run too!

This is the best couch to 5k podcast that I’ve found. I’m on week 7 run 2 and it has kept me going. The best running podcast I’ve ever tried. The voice overs are perfectly timed when you’re feeling like you are just about to give up. Very good. I’m on week 4 and sticking with it. Music is okay and Laura is great, very encouraging. This probably cost the NHS a couple thousand pounds to make, but will save us all much more in the long run due to healthier lifestyles. I hadn’t been doing any exercise until I started some strength training recently. I couldn’t run at all/for more than a minute when I started this and am now finishing week 7/9 and jogging for 25 minutes (which my new Fitbit tells me is over 4K). This is a great programme. Wish the NHS did more.

I have just completed the final run of week 9 and I feel so happy. I started out on 16th Oct and thought that I’d never get through but here I am. I can’t recommend this programme highly enough. Give it a go, if I can do it then so can you!

I’m the unfittest person in the world with very little stamina but this app is helping me change that. I’m on week 4 and doing well and fingers crossed will make it to 5k. This app is simple to use and very encouraging and I would highly recommend to anyone starting to run.

First time I did this I managed to get to 5k in 7 weeks but carried on and by week 10 i was close to 8k, having never run before. I have to admit, this was the best program I’ve ever started and finished! I’m not a running, or I never was a running, due to knee issues and well I prefer the active cardio DVDs to running. This has very genuinely revolutionised my fitness. I was very much the couch queen and unhappy with my fitness and weight.
