While we all should probably be in therapy, we all definitely need a Doug if we go (Mer is the best also…we’re just a little too similar for therapy 😂). I love to listen to the journey of Drew and Sarah and see myself in them and am so proud of how far they have come already! The “ball in the...Read full review »

I really am enjoying Kenzie as a co-host. As an AMFT myself, it’s nice to hear her questions/observations as a foil to Doug. I think her perspective is more valuable than Meredith’s.

After listening to 5 episodes of this podcast, I have gotten a lot of good perspective and validation from the chats between the therapist and client and the two therapists. It is light hearted and listen to listen to. The therapist has a great style that motivates and encourages. It’s like...Read full review »

Such a great podcast! I was not expecting to relate to Drew in season 1, as much as I did! It’s interesting to hear Doug and Meredith’s insights not just about the clients but also about the therapy process and how they make decisions around when to ask more questions, prove deeper into a topic,...Read full review »

I hear myself in the clients. I learn from the therapist’s responses and the critique at the end of each episode. Thank you so much for doing this.

I’ve been listening since almost the start. Every episode has insights or ideas that expands my thinking. It’s one of the few podcasts I listen to at regular speed so I can really savor it 😊

Started listening because I’m in school to be a counselor, so thought it’d be interesting to learn from. As a student, it’s great hearing how they run a session but also how they reflect on it without the client there. BUT didn’t expect Drew’s story to hit so close to home, so I’ve also learned a...Read full review »

I found my own therapist thanks to this podcast. It really broke down what therapy could do in an approachable way. Totally recommend!

Love the podcast. I feel the profanity is excessive especially Meredith drops them with such ease. It’s distracting.

Love this show, love hearing Doug in action and his insights. However, I really dread hearing Meredith. Perhaps she’s just not my style of therapist, but I often cringe when she talks.

I love this podcast so much. I am in my masters program currently and so much of what we do in school is reading about theory and techniques but very little do we actually get to see it in practice. This has helped me so much.

Even if you don’t relate to everything drew is going through, There is still plenty to learn from and apply. Doug and Meredith do a great job and it’s wonderful to listen to the therapist side of things

I’ve been listening for about a year now. I have grown to love Doug and Meredith and their chemistry. I love their deep dives at the end and their chats at the beginning. They’re my go to for comfort and at the same time to learn and grow and be challenged.

I wish they would leave the pseudoscience out. I really hate to hear quackery (astrology, enneagram, etc.) mainstreamed and platformed along side legitimate mental health treatment.
