I have a really big problem with this podcast, it’s too good! More episodes than not are worth listening to two or three times. I’ve been a high performing endurance athlete for more than twenty years and still learn tons every episode.

I listen to Chris almost every night. Discovered the podcast two months ago. Informative, practical and I have learned a lot! My only critique is— why is this Nicole Winters person on there? I find very little about her helpful and I checked out her instagram page and was very unimpressed. Seemed...Read full review »

Started as a casual listener and runner, ended up running the Boston Marathon because of this podcast, and meeting Chris in person after. Highly recommend. Hugo, The Netherlands

Wow ~ Brilliant, honest insight. So practical. So many take aways from each & every podcast. This one, #326, I’ll be listening to again, knowing there will be more to gain and improve the mental aspect of my running. Thank you!

I’ve just started running again after long medical treatment and major surgery to correct rare condition. Did my first half and full marathon under doctor’s guidance and pace limitations, and as an excited runner have devoured the internet for information regarding training and gear😂 I tried a...Read full review »

This podcast provides useful & thoughtful information for runners. Can get a little dry at times, but worth a listen as info. is well-researched and thorough. One issue if you are sound-sensitive, host has habit of smacking lips at end of sentences which can be quite distracting and...Read full review »

Chris does a tremendous job with this podcast. Let’s be honest - the weekly topic of running could get very stale, but not here. He does a great job of keeping each episode very enjoyable with relatable tips that you can really apply to your own running. I love when he mixes in current events in...Read full review »

I've been listening to Chris since 2018. He transformed my running because I hung onto every word and little by little put into practice everything he was saying which ultimately allowed me to qualify for Boston. This also led me to join his podcast training group in 2020. He's a big...Read full review »

Thanks so much for this episode, I really enjoyed listening to this! I started my marathon training journey earlier this summer en route to the Marine Corps Marathon in October (my first). I have listened to many run-related podcasts but Chris’s podcast is by far the best. Why? First of all, his content is far-reaching, in depth and always helpful. Any time...Read full review »

Chris, your experience, wisdom and perspective as a coach and runner is so valuable and helpful to me as a 37 yo mom of two who still wants to get faster and do big things. Thanks for sharing so much for free! You really should write a book about running and longevity. 😀

I live this podcast- substantive, specific, always seems to touch on topics when I’m thinking about them either because time of year or time of season It takes an episode or two in order to get the rhythm of a single voice just talking- but once you get the flow you won’t be disappointed.

I opened my podcasts app specifically to find something about mental toughness for a marathon, and EVEN BETTER this episode has pacing and mental tips for my EXACT marathon (and it was already downloaded to my phone)! Exactly what I needed!

Good information and perspective however the host seems concerned with being perceived as being woke. His self promotions to this end are awkward at times and cast a shadow on the overall content.

Way to much focus on drugs and your love for a few random woman in running isn’t authentic. Plenty of the runners and coaches you celebrate are just as guilty as the people you despise?

With a cohost, this podcast was bearable. It’s now become dull and slow. Some good topics, but it’s just so dry that I can’t listen anymore. I like the podcast until he said: “I don’t care what the science says...”. Well, science is about facts, not feelings. Is so frustrating because is so difficult to find podcasts based on facts about running.

I really enjoy this podcast. It is perfect for any running nerd that enjoys delving deeper into the sport. I do miss Steve Sisson. He played a good foil for Chris on topics. I used to listen to this podcast all the time, but the absence of a co-host has made the show a real snoozer. This podcast needs a new co-host and should move the doping conversations to Chris’s Clean Sport Collective show where Kara can keep things on track and be an effective foil for Chris.

I tried a few episodes. It’s distracting with the music playing throughout the podcast. The host’s speaking style has too many tangents and qualifiers that the message gets muddled. I also heard a lot of misinformation and unsupported statements so I couldn’t keep on listening.

What’s the point of having a slow runner near walker on the same pod as an Olympic qualifier and pretend they are the same ? I see you had the chief walker on your show again. “Running” is a sport.
