Love Hugh’s take on things in the world, hope he has time to resume the discussion.

Being in the industry, it is so great listening to these interviews. I love how Hugh is so real and raw, he speaks how it actually is and there’s no BS. Awesome to hear insight from role models and food gods! I couldn’t be more thrilled

I miss your podcasts. Hoping this is just a brief break. Keep doing them!

Love the podcast and enjoyed the interview with Michael Stipe. Can’t wait for the upcoming cookbook for teaching kids to cook. Brilliant idea!

I enjoy the podcast but had to turn it off Yesterday because Chef Hugh talks a lot more than his guests I want to hear the guest speak

Love the topics & variety of guests...but after listening to all episodes to date, I’d like to hear a bit more from the guests...and less from the host who seems to often speak over them, interrupt & lead convo back to himself. I enjoy his anecdotes but why have guests if they can’t say...Read full review »

Who would think it’s a nice idea on a podcast to listen to people eating..? It is gross hearing the sounds on audio of you and your mates eating. I don’t see the point. I think you should listen to your guests more and stop polishing your own ego. Btw you are not a comedian at all.

I’m a big Hugh Acheson fan from Top Chef and his cookbooks, so I was happy to learn there was a podcast. It’s as good as I hoped. Really interesting guests, conversational and irreverent. I’ve learned stuff too. Two thumbs up!

Thank you chef for your command of the cast. I listen to quite a few chef podcasts and what I appreciate the most about you is how you stop to explain the context. You do it better than anyone else. I’m in Atlanta this week for work. Will be going to dine at your place and I can’t wait If...Read full review »

I listen to and love many food podcasts and wanted to love this one, but Hugh was really annoying as an interviewer. Despite having really interesting and sought after guests on the show he constantly interrupts his guests, frequently changes to subject and answers his own questions. He clearly...Read full review »

I thought I’d like this show just based on how much I enjoyed Hugh Acheson on Top Chef and he exceeds expectations! Great sense of humor, enjoyable guests, nice balance of chatting and interviewing.

I am certainly not in the demographic for this podcast, but I find it funny , irreverent but most of all entertaining and informative. Love it!

As someone who works in food, I’m really enjoying this podcast, especially the conversations about the changing work culture in restaurants. One major complaint- why is it so quiet in comparison to every other podcast I listen to?? Even on max volume. Other people have commented this! Please fix!

I really enjoy this show, true Hugh talks a lot, but I don’t mind that

I love the idea for this podcast and the guests are awesome. Like other listeners though, I wish Hugh would learn to get out of the way as an interviewer. I couldn't get through the Anita Lo episode because he wouldn't stop talking. Please let your guests shine! Read a book on...Read full review »

I actually wanted to hear Kelsey Barnard Clark speak. I was majorly disappointed when Hugh constantly answered his own questions with his own “witty” answers. He comes across pompous and loves to hear himself talk. Guess what Hugh, I wasn’t interested in what you had to say I was interested in...Read full review »

Chef Acheson has a difficult time getting out of the way. If the purpose of the podcast is to introduce us to interesting people, it fails because the subject rarely gets a word in. The questions meander and rarely return to the subject in the same form in which the question began. Interrupting...Read full review »

I thought I would be hooked after the first episode but I was completely turned off by the second with Carla Hall. She was there to talk about soul food yet you didn’t let her talk for 99% of the “conversation.” The irony was deafening.

Great podcast. Mellow and smooth just the way I like it. Great work Chef. 15 year veteran here and your conversations so far remind me of the wonderful things about the industry that drove me. Keep it up. Also- listening to Jon Glaser episode now and the fact you aren't clued into ASMR lends...Read full review »

I’m enjoying the content of the podcast. However the low volume levels that the recordings are at make it very difficult to hear.

Within the past 2 weeks, the podcast feed has screwed up the volume. At a normal listening volume for any other song or podcast, this show is completely silent. You have to turn the volume up EXTREMELY high in order to hear any audio. This is very unsafe for anyone using earphones, as when the...Read full review »

This is a good thing. On tv, Chef Acheson comes across as a quirky, wry, laconic character and creative chef with southern flavors. Most of that comes through here as well, but with an added dose of intelligent conversation. Excellent listening. Oh..and the mention of Fishing with John makes you...Read full review »

I have always thought chef Acheson was really cool and it’s one of my goals to save up and make the trip up to Athens to try his food. When I heard he had a podcast I had to listen. So far it’s great. It gives me hope that at the ripe old age of 26, maybe I still have time to become a cook/chef,...Read full review »

I know it’s only two episodes in, but it’s always refreshing to hear really smart people talk about something as basic as food in such an honest, thoughtful way and how it has a deep meaning and history.

What a delightful podcast !! I could listen to great chefs talk about food all day. I enjoy Hugh’s matter of fact demeanor coupled with his expertise in food is a great combination.

Really enjoyed the first episode. A great discussion of equals with wonderful insight. A few critics commented on the kitchen noises but I found it set the mood nicely and added some authenticity to the conversation.

Big fan of Hugh and I'm excited to see where this podcast goes! The one downside to this episode: the sound of people chewing and swallowing into a microphone. Granted it's a food podcast BUT STILL. I very rarely cook from recipes and just throw dishes together based on what I have...Read full review »
