One of my fave podcasts, great guests, love the chat beforehand, am gutted when they don’t post for a while. Side note: just realised I used to hang out with Sam behind Chichester Cathedral when we were teenagers - small world

Great podcast but they seem to have fizzled out. No content for over a month, a shame.

This is my favourite podcast I have ever listened to, I don’t think I will ever find one I enjoy more. The best bits are when they talk about ghosts.

‘Why’ my girlfriend recently asked me, ‘Do you have 15 Merguez sausages in our freezer and keep buying any cookbook that has a fattee recipe inside it?’ In answer I referred her to this pod, and as a result we’re both hooked and have found ourselves having driven over twice from West London to...Read full review »

Only found out about these podcast whilst being stuck at home during lockdown. Best podcast I’ve found and really enjoy the honest approach and conversation they have with each other during Covid. I’ve been a huge fan of Pidgin and Magpie, RIP, and can’t wait to see what they do next as not doubt...Read full review »

I got into this via my partner’s passion for Hope of the States then trips to Pidgin, Magpie and S+D. Two years later, I now know an enjoyable amount about the London/UK food scene, the inner machinations of the restaurant industry, and being a cool dad. I have also now been to St. John. I’m...Read full review »

I like listening to this. It’s funny. It’s sometimes interesting. The guys seem like quite nice individuals. Give it a shake.

The best and possibly only ghost podcast out there. Some food bits too. Chef chat, jogging chat, wife chat. Outrageously brilliant.

Like chilling with my mates but these two know more about food

I stopped listening for a while and filled my head with Coronavirus news - utterly depressing. Now back and loving it. Cheery, chirpy, irreverent and interesting guests. Thom & Nora’s interruptions are adorable. Well done James & Sam!

Listening to these chefs is like, if someone recorded the Beatles hanging out with the Stones while Dylan introduced them to weed (or visa versa). We (husband & I) started with the 9 Feb show: Tim Siadatan of Padella, which we love. Can’t wait now to try Padella’s Shoreditch branch. And...Read full review »

One of my favourite podcasts. Good humor, overall just real good chat, not over polished (I guess). Is about food sometimes but not educational, however definitely lead me on to try some ingredients and restaurants in London. Great guests too and most importantly the best quizzes!

I do love this podcast, the hosts seem so fun and I love their food and ghost chat. I’m sad it’s over but maybe they will come back

Who else could bridge Giles Coren and Jonathan Nunn, with integrity intact. Joyous crap chat, totally fab.

i appreciate the scattered range of topics and rambling fluidity of conversation. however, in the paella episode your describing the Allman brothers as a “racist band” stepped out of bounds as it happens to be untrue, and is not specifically a funny comment or generally a helpful one. duane...Read full review »

So the problem is I live in South Dakota which is a lonely state in USA and worse I can’t find anyone to talk to about Sam and James and ghosts haunting various kitchens and when I say something is correctly rated no one gets the joke. That wine drop thing isn’t likely to deliver all the way out...Read full review »

Sam & James have hooked me with their sarcastic, witty humour. Sometimes I want to shout at them - 'stop eating on air!'. And sometimes they just make me laugh and laugh. Oh yeah and sometimes, I get ideas for cooking and places to eat.Read full review »

One of the few podcasts I really look forward to listening to when it pops into my feed. I'm not a foodie so why would I be excited about a podcast from two restauranteurs? Sam and James are just two naturally friendly, funny and interesting gentlemen with a great chemistry! Great show guys....Read full review »

So, I listened to one of these in response to a recommendation and now I find I'm switching off radio 4 to work my way through these instead. This podcast covers everything that you need to know about food: Robocop, the Thom Yorke/Flea partnership, Twin Peaks, Cher and Ghostbusters. Great podcast. Love the energy and the learning of this pair of ragamuffins. Answers the big questions: is tofu overrated? was Mussolini an ok bloke? what do you do if you get lost in an airport? Keep ‘em coming.
